Fixing a pocket flare Empty Fixing a pocket flare

I noticed today that one of my recently installed Shittybuilt pocketflares is cracked in about 3 or 4 places. It was fine before the weather got cold, and the other three seem to be ok, so who knows if someone hit it or leaned on it when it may have been brittle. In either case, this is the second set of flares that I've bought and installed in the past 8 months, and I don't really want to do it again.

Does anyone know of a fix to repair cracks in these things? I'm almost tempted just to put duct tape on the underside of it. Maybe some bondo when it gets warmer.

Once it's warmer, maybe some JB Weld down the cracks? You could then sand it down and paint over it. Sorry to hear about the problems you're having with the flares, man.

Fixing a pocket flare Empty pocket flair fix

you can get some plastic epoxy at auto zone and mend from underside. Find an extra piece of plastic and use as a patch ,sort of like a band aid and sandwich epoxy between. I believe it is abs plastic . Those flairs are notorious for that and it will never stop happening. Your best and least expensive alternative is to purchase some crown brand 7 inch flairs .You can purchase them separate if you ruin one but i can tell you from experience that they are hard to kill. Hope this helps. MARK.

thanks, Mark. I might even experiment with some fiberglass.
