More recall problems for Jeep/Chrysler

Just read this piece about the NHTSA's recall of Grand Cherokees and Libertys and Chrysler's response to it. That's a whole lot of vehicles to recall and fix should Chrysler lose its appeal to the NHTSA.

Hit anything with a gas tank hard enough it will explode. The biggest chunk of their solution is to put a 3mm metal plate over it (essentially the rear skid from the skid package from factory. Well when hit hard enough it can still damage and break the plastic tank inside from sheer force.
