Where do you get your driveshafts balanced?
I recently rebuilt the double cardan in my rear DS (its actually a cherokee front DS) replacing both U joints and rebuilding the centering ball. Either I lost or forgot to make a paint pen mark on the centering ball so I wasn't sure of orientation when I put it all back together. Because I lost the orientation I was thinking I should have it re-balanced.
Only place I've heard of around here is Montrose machine in Wakefield, they told me $65 for the single ds.
Anyone have a different place they go?

Hard to tell with all the other vibrations on my xj haha. Tire rumble alone is enough to mask most stuff.
I replaced the u joints because I had a bad one, two of the caps had no needles left in them, just powder. Didn't notice any vibration til it hit that point so its hard to say if I would be able to notice DS vibes. Its obviously way better than before but that doesn't tell me much.

No vibes = no worries.
If there was no external weight on it I wouldn't worry.

No external weight on the centering ball holder? There is not, only balancing weights are on the shaft itself.
I guess I won't bother unless I notice vibes on the highway, only taken it on the highway briefly since I did the repair.
