Greg from Malden
Hey guys, I hope some of you remember me. Greg from Malden with the Silver WJ. I haven't really been active in recent months because I've been pretty busy with school, but I'm looking to get back into things.
My WJ is still pretty modest but I'm doing things slowly over time. I'm still running a 2" spacer lift on stock wheels and tires, but I'm going to pull the trigger on some Dick Cepek Torque wheels and 245/70R17 Goodyear Duratracs within a month, as soon as I can figure out what to do with my current stuff. I wish I could go with a bigger lift but that'll have to wait until I move because my antenna already hits the garage door at my apartment. My apartment is probably the biggest limiting factor for me. Not allowed to do any work in garage, no storage for tools and parts, and I have to make sure I can still drive inside. Still a good place for a student, though.
Current Setup:
2" RC BB
Bilstein 5100 shocks
Addco 1" rear sway bar
Superchips Flashpaq 91+ Tune
I've also redone my audio setup if anyone is interested:
Kenwood X395 stereo
Focal Access 130 component system; custom fabbed tweeter mounts to keep stock look and location.
Alpine Type-S rear door speakers
Polk PA660 75x4 RMS amp
12" Kicker CVR in ported enclosure
Kenwood KAC-8105D 500W RMS mono sub amp
1.2F capacitor (need to go bigger now that I have 2 amps)
Takes a dump on the Infinity Gold system.
I'll get some pics up when I get a chance.

Welcome back, Greg!
I was wondering if you were ever going to come around again. We'll be having a pizza night next month, so be sure to come by then. You won't even recognize my Jeep from the last time you saw it!

Ryan, I think the last time I saw you was the week before you got the 8.8" and 35s right? That's gotta be awesome now.

Well I wanted to get back into things now that it's getting nice out, but I had a bit of an accident while driving in Medford a little while back. I was driving south on Main Street in the left lane going ~30, and the right lane is stopped with traffic. Right lane lets the guy through so he can turn left across traffic to go north on Main St. He doesn't see me, goes, gets me on the passenger doors, and I roll. WJ is toast. The whole rear end got destroyed. Control arms ripped out, etc.
Here's some pics.

Yeah I'm glad I'm ok. I got out of the crash without a single scratch, which is amazing. The seat belt probably saved me. It's just been a huge PITA getting everything together, dealing with insurance, etc. I went car searching immediately after the crash as I only had a rental for a few days. I decided on a 2007 WK Limited with the 5.7 hemi. I know, I know: shoulda gotten a TJ or JK, but I drive on the highway a whole lot, and I really couldn't lose the V8 power I had in the WJ.
That brings us to now, where I just ordered a Gibson 3" catback exhaust and OME 3" lift with Bilstein 5125s from Kolak on jeepforum. I'm also looking at a whole bunch of underbody protection from 4xGuard: rock rails; front, belly, and rear skids; and rear sliders. I'll probably have to beef up the WK a whole lot before I can do anything with you guys.
