WTB: roof storage basket

Does anyone know of any good places in the area to buy a cheap roof basket? Doesn't have to be anything fancy, just looking to be able to secure it to my cross bars and strap camping gear to it. Everything online is outrageously priced and may not ship in time for when I need it. If anyone has one they're looking to part ways with I'd be willing to make a deal as well. Thanks.

Never seen roof baskets at HF but have seen reciever baskets.

Have you checked Craigslist at all yet?

I ended up finding one there that was *exactly* what I wanted.

Also, someone here (THOOPY?) has a write-up on adapting one from a junkyard explorer, I believe.

Uhhh Geoff...I am THOOPY, hahaha. I'm looking for a basket that will attach to the racks I'm installing to make things a little more secure while I'm driving at highways speeds. I have checked Craig's List but no luck, items are either not what I'm looking for or people want slightly less than what I could pay if I bought one new. I may end up going with a cheapy Sear's storage bag. The one I looked at would certainly hold sleeping bags and other gear.
