Lets talk about shocks

So my springs and shocks are in desperate need of upgrading, with the Metal Cloak flares I've been keeping the build low. Have set on the BDS 3" springs for front and rear. When I found out metal cloak had pieced together a kit with Fox shocks tuned by BDS. I emailed BDS to get their lengths collapsed and extended as well as valving for their tune (waiting to hear back). I've researched and noted that Blaine (from Black magic brakes) suggests a tune of 30/90 for rock crawling, which would be a bit excessive for a DD..seems 35/75 would be more optimal for a combination of both for fox shocks.

Biggest thing i'm floating around on is uptravel on the shock. Having the room with the flares is giving far more uptravel than stock flares would, obviously I don't want to go with a shock that is going to require extra bumpstop (in excess) for downtravel I don't need.

And sadly the 6pak shocks are out of the price range.

3" springs are hard to find the perfect shock for. My recommendation is to install the springs and measure for the shocks. Then see if you can find a set of fox shocks that will give you the up/down travel split you're looking for. Savvy may be you're best bet as they have a 2.5-3" version.

I know they are higher than you would like, but I do have a set of 3.5" metalcloak springs for sale if you are interested. Originally they were on the LJ when Shaun had it, I purchased them in hopes of putting them in my TJ, and then plans changed and I ended up buying the LJ from Shaun. They weren't even used for a year.

Known whats funny, I had ordered front metal cloaks and rears i won a 200 gift card so ordered rears. But how much you want?I may know someone who wants them

Pretty firm at $350. They do need a coat of paint.
