'12 Sahara JKU. Black with brown leather int. twin tops, Gobi rack (last Spring's project). Bue accents, pinstripe, and stripe across hood. About to finally add lighting, cut fenders and chop front bumper (this Spring's projects). Haven't off roared beyond Maine dirt roads but looking to beef it up a bit. Planing on going to the BBQ, NH Go Topless Day, and Ocean State's GTD in Monson MA, too. maybe with wife, son and dog, maybe just one of them, lol. Hope to meet up with some of you at some fun events.

From someone who owned a '12 JK, don't cut the bumper. Welcome aboard!

Why not to cut the bumper? Did you have issues doing so or afterward?

Unlike removing the caps from the TJ/LJ, the JK looks like crap. It is a giant hollow piece of plastic. You could get the caps and it will look a bit better. There is just no real advantage to narrowing it unless you've pushed in a corner.
