So. I had dropped my fuel tank to safely do cutting and grinding under my XJ. Then I replaced my exhaust manifold so everything was disconnected and then reconnected.

I plopped a new battery in and tried to fire it up last night. Cranks but no start. I jumped the fuel pump relay and check the fuse. Nada. I dont really hear any whine that is usually associated with the fuel pump. Everything ran fine before I took it apart. What should I look for? My only guess is that it could be a loose electrical connection at the pump or a bad pump...

I didnt check for fuel pressure because I got fed up and went to bed last night. I am at work right now so Im just sitting here thinking about it. Is there anything else I could have done while putting the manifolds back on?

Not any help from me, but I need to do my exhaust manifold sometime, welded it up a bit with it still on which improved things, but it still leaks.. Did you get one of the aftermarket ones that's supposed to not crack?

I got a stainless steel header on ebay for about 120 dollars.  I plan on adding a flex pipe before the cat.

Also, from the research I did.. it doesnt really seem like there is a solution to the cracking issue. Even those dorman manifolds that have flex pipes built into the #1 and #6 tubes eventually crack. Just a bad design on Jeeps part. The header I bought required a tiny bit of modification but otherwise went in easily.

Got it nailed down. Was just a loose wire leading to the fuel pump connection.
