Blinkers gone crazy! Empty Blinkers gone crazy!

Just a quick diagnosis question for you guys. My jeep got rained in a couple weeks ago over night (the top was only opened over the front seats, and wasn't supposed to rain until later the next day) and ever since that, my turn signals have been acting weird. First, the sound of the blinker maid noise non stop until the jeep was dried out, unless I had my foot on the brake pedal. Once the jeep dried out, everything was fine for a couple weeks until the past 2 days. Now, about half the time that my foot is on the brake pedal, my left blinker lights up and remains lit until I take my foot off the brake. Just wondering if this is just a little quirk that will fix itself over time, or should I invest in a new turn signal switch? It's only about $33 bucks to replace it.

It is a good possibility that it is the switch.
I would check the tail light bulbs for a broken/shorted filament .
Remove one at a time and see if it still happens.
Good luck.

It's the switch/stalk on the left side of the steering column.
