TJ full (two-piece) soft doors
Hey guys, I'm looking to pick up some TJ full (two-piece) soft doors to use during the summer with my hard top. I know a little work is going to be involved to make them fit right on my YJ which is why I'm starting my search now. If any of you are looking to part ways with yours or know of anyone who is let me know. Prefer them to be black but color isn't really a pressing issue.

Two piece yj soft doors are not an option ? they go right on.
Keep searching craigs list, they will pop up sooner or later.

YJ ones are shaped differently. They leave a huge cap at the front near the windshield and overhang on the hard top making them impossible to close right. I've tried making them work but it's basically impossible. TJ doors are shaped like exactly like the full doors and with a little bit of adjustment can be made to work. I had a chance to pick up a set of TJ ones awhile back but I dropped the ball.
Re: TJ full (two-piece) soft doors
there are two different types of yj door tops.
Rounded corners or pointed corners where they meet the hard top.
You need the rounded corners so that they fit hard top.
They are out there.

That's that kind that will not work. The curves in the upper parts are different than the contour of the hard top. Those doors you found are only designed to work with SuperTop soft tops and are the kind I mentioned in my post above.

Do you have uppers for the yj half hard doors ?

Re: TJ full (two-piece) soft doors
Yes, square ones that go with my factory soft top. Believe me I've learned over the past few years of owning the thing that top and door combinations for the YJ are a complete crap shoot.
I'm not looking to put the soft top back on this summer for a number of reasons, so I'm hoping to find a set of soft doors that I can quickly remove and store in the back when the weather is nice. I just don't feel like paying $400+ for a new pair that I know I'm going to have to do some work on to make fit.
I would consider modifying some TJ soft upper doors (there's a write-up on JF on how to do this) to work with the top, but part of the reason I don't want to do that is that my driver side half door latch stopped working at the end of the summer and I don't feel like paying the $150 I was quoted to have it fixed.

Re: TJ full (two-piece) soft doors
There is a article on how to put a tj soft top on a yj.
You can get them at a good price if you have time and patience to wait for a good used factory one.
I was thinking about doing that to my yj , I have all of the parts to do it, doors, top, uppers, door surrounds etc.
I have two TJs to keep going also so it may be a while.
