3' Black Firestik CB Antenna

Bought a 3' Firestik without realizing it's too tall for my garage. Used it for a week, but it got scuffed up a bit from smacking the top of my garage. Cost me $20, I probably wouldn't ask more than $10 for it, so I might as well just give it away.

Hey im looking to get a cb radio. ( sorry if this is a dumb question) but does the antenna work with any set up? If so then ill be glad to take it off of your hands. (Btw ill probably be going with a cheaper cb from like radio shack or walmart)

Not a dumb question. I mean it's a standard CB antenna so it should work with any setup, but this is only the antenna with no other mounting hardware or connectors. At the very least you'd need a mount with an antenna stud to allow you to connect the coax line. I don't really know what's out there for JKs but here's something I just found:

Is it the tuneable kind? Or would you have to trim to adjust?

I would still take it and try to put it together with other 'better looking' brackets. I see that your from the medford area. Do you come into boston at all? maybe we could meet up during the weekend

Whoever in the club doesn't have a CB yet should definitely snatch this up, as that's like half the cost of the setup (For those unfamiliar: CB transmissions are highly regulated, so the only difference between the $20 walmart CB and the $200 one is bells-and-whistles, not transmission ability. The antenna is where you want to spend the money, and this is a good one).

If no one else takes it (local club members without a CB should obviously get first dibs), I need one for the JK and would totally grab it.

Whereabouts in Boston? I work west of Boston, so I take 90E to 93N on the way home during the week. Might be able to work something out, but I don't have the antenna with me today anyway.

probably along the lines of i93 i work basically next to city hall south station is right off of 93 (and about 20 minute walk from work) or during the weekend some where around Boston bowl which is exit 12 off of i-93 (thats about a 15-20 minute drive from home)

looks like its going to be friday after work or sunday. I just found out my girlfriends job is holding a corporate football match against other companies at Gillette so i have to go and 'support' her; its like 1030 am to 530 pm event. Basically taking up my day.

Hmm, I've got plans right after work on Friday, so it's gonna have to be Sunday. That's pretty cool about Gillette Stadium though.
