Yes me too.

Pat, thanks for all the write ups you've done. You're one of the biggest reasons I bought a ECGS ford 8.8.

Hey, that is awesome, thank you for that.
I was reading through your build thread on here and saw you purchased from ECGS. They are really awesome guys who put out a great product. The axles from them have to be the best mod I have done to date.
Re: 2003X Boston MA
oh no thank you. The write up and pics made my research so much easier. It was even better to get a review from a local guy.
The new axle certainly is top on my mod list. I'm looking forward to trying out the skid plate and locker. I haven't wheeled since I installed them.
with the skid plate and everything else my front shaft was way to short. I ordered a shaft from Tom Woods. It will be here Monday. Then I can wheel... woohoo

Very nice. I am currently saving for an Aussie for my D30.
Re: 2003X Boston MA
Did you consider the Spartan? I like that it comes with the new cross pin and the pins in that locker are beefy. I know the Aussie seems to be a bit more well behaved noise wise. I ask because I am about to order my front locker in a week or so.

I have considered both, my Jeep is my DD and I would like a quiet operation locker. I think they are identical though pretty much. Whats the price difference? Aussie is about $260 shipped.
Re: 2003X Boston MA
You won't believe this, but after some internet searching I got my Spartan tonight for $258.65 shipped from Rock Auto. Guess I will be installing that front locker ahead of schedule. Thanks for the motivation!

Rock Auto sells spartans????? Did you use a 5% off coupon? They're always running them.
Re: 2003X Boston MA
Damn I didn't know about the coupon. Oh well can't complain I still got a good deal. I was surprised as well that they carried Spartan lockers.

Re: 2003X Boston MA
I just sent them an email to see if they will still apply it before the order ships. Fingers crossed. $13 is worth sending an email IMHO.

Hey Pat, the guy who was going to buy my axles/Aussie ran into some financial issues and can't afford them anymore.
If you want, I'll make you the same offer I made him on the Aussie of $200. It's used, but you'd never know it by looking at it.

That's awesome, Does it come with all the correct parts to install it? Northridge 4x4 has it for $259 shipped. I was just looking at it, but checked this forum first to see about the spartan lol. http://www.northridge4x4.com/shop/aussie-locker-dana-30-13027
Re: 2003X Boston MA
Yup, bought it to put in my new axle, but opened it up the night that I got it, only to realize it already had an Aussie in it.
There should be pictures of it in my JeepForum thread.
