Miles JK Build - Help Needed
Hey All,
I've got the following modifications I'm trying to install:
- a Poison Spyder Evap Skid
- a Rugged Ridge Upper Control Arm Skid
- a Rugged Rudge Lower Control Arm Skid
I'm having a hell of a time getting the bolts loose (even using PB Blaster on all of 'em to loosen them).
I think I just don't have the right tools.
I'm also tried fitting Smittybilt SRC Rocker Guards today but they didn't line up properly, and I don't have a grinder to make them fit right.
Basically, I'm in need of a second pair of hands and the right tools.
I'm free next weekend if anyone in the area is willing to help.
Thanks in advance!

In terms of the bolts, have you bought yourself a proper breaker bar yet? Best darn $20 you'll ever spend.
Normally I would recommend just putting a bit of torch on the areas surrounding the bolts, but the evap cannister probably wouldn't stand for that, and if the control arms are stock, then those bushings are in the way as well.
Wish I was close enough to help out, but someone else might be able to chime in with some availability!

Thanks for the advice about the Breaker Bar, I'll look into getting one!

Miles, you should get together with Bill and some of the more seasoned wrench-hands can help you guys both out at once. Kill two birds, ya know? Just a thought.

Great idea, Rob.
Can you link me to Bill's thread?
