1998 Cherokee $3000
Hey All! You guys and gals may have seen the build of my Cherokee last year. Unfortunately, life tells me I need to sell this and pick up a new car for the future family. This was intended to be my camping/kayak hauling and snow rig and did a great job with that. Has never seen rocks or a mud holes since I have owned it. 3000 for club members. 3500 on craigslist.
No interior water leaks and no fluid leaks.
I will be happy to get more pictures upon request.
1998 Cherokee Sport 199000 miles.
4.0
AX15
NP231
CV shafts front and back
HP D30
Chrysler 8.25
33x12.5x15 Fun Country II tires (6000 miles)
I have only put 7000 miles on this rig. Anything listed below has been replaced within that timeframe.
Suspension
IRO 6.5" long arm kit (6000 miles)
Johnny joints
IRO adj. track bar
IRO steering damper
JKS quick disconnects
HD offroad shackle relocation brackets
Bilstein 5125 shocks
rear nut strips that the HD offroad shackle brackets (or trailer hitch) bolt in to
Steering:
Drop Pitman Arm
IRO Over the Knuckle pitman arm and drag link
Steering box
Steering pump
Pressure line
The frame cracked behind the box. To fix it, I had a shop (Santos Jeep Service in Worcester) sleeve the frame rail with 3/16" steel then I added a C-rock Steering box plate. Very, very stout now. If you know this shop, you know than Manny does excellent work.
Axles:
Driveshaft U-joints
rear seals
Alloy USA Ball Joints
Brakes:
Rear WJ disk brakes and Pads
Front disks and pads
SS flexible brake lines
Rebuilt WJ proportioning valve
Axle brake lines
Engine/cooling:
MAP sensor
TB sensor
rebuilt 703 injector upgrade
SS header
freeze plugs
block heater
radiator (500 miles)
battery (500 miles)
cap,points, wires, plugs
all of the relays
Dynomax cat back
front pipe and both oxygen sensors
fresh coolant, oil, tranny fluid and transfer case fluid
Hook ups for a switch activated fan. I did not install the fan after I did the radiator.
Interior:
DVD player/radio (came with jeep, not installed by me)
red plaid headliner
entire cabin is dynamatted
Floor POR-15'd
hookups for sub
Misc:
Fuel pump
Front bumper rod holders
Stout home brew roof rack, recently had 400lbs on it.
Hood vents
The bad:
body damage to rear passenger side pillar. Does not effect operation of tail gate and does not leak.
fuel pump seal was installed incorrectly and leaks when the tank is full. Does not leak if tank is at 3/4
Needs a new clock spring
throws a code for a neutral safety switch and a TCM. HAve no been able to figure out either since the neutral safety switch works and the is no auto trans for the TCM to control. Neither of these codes effect the operation of the jeep.
No interior water leaks and no fluid leaks.
