2000 TJ from North Andover
Hi All,
My name is Ryan and I have a stock 2000 stock TJ. I'm from North Andover and I found you guys whilst searching for a local-ish Jeep club. I'm really interested in transitioning my jeep from it's currently role as my daily driving vehicle, into an trail conquering off road machine. So any thoughts/tips/recommendations you guys can pass my way would be fantastically appreciated.

Welcome! Best advice I can give is to build for what you need, build it right instead of twice, and read, read, read different jeep forums. There is so much information out there it can be overwhelming but reading and wrenching on your rig is the best way to gain knowledge

welcome, I also have a 2000 TJ haha. We have some nice built rigs here, and all the way to stock with every level inbetween. As stated, research research research and ask questions! it's a fun ride!

Hi Ryan! Welcome!
Have you got that thing off road yet? I would recommend to come out with the club on some easy trails and try to push the rig and see what your weak point is and use that as a guide to build it. Sometimes, it can be done cheaper that way, rather than getting all the parts the internet says you need.

Ryan, welcome! Definitely test it out stock first and see how it does, like Rob said you'll figure out things you need rather than just buying something people say you should get. I'm gonna be trying to get some people together for a pretty stock friendly run to test out my Comanche I've been building. Probably Sunday the 6th if all goes well with my build and its ready, keep that date in mind if you're interested, looking forward to meeting you everyone on here is great and helpful you'll like the group

I will agree that wheeling it before modding is important. It will give you idea as to the type of off-roading you like and what needs to be done to optimize it for that style.
