Re: noah's 97 zj build
Gettin the 35s mounted today made me want to update the thread so here goes the over winter
I broke my cross pin retaining bolt months ago trying to replace my rear locker and gave up until today when i ordered this http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0078U9L8C/ref=sr_ph?ie=UTF8&qid=1431170334&sr=1&keywords=be+01 so im excited to have a locked rear end again
second i bought a logans metal front winch bumper and smitybuilt 9500 winchand got them mounted up and they are sweet
third I got the iro otk steering kit to solve the dead spot I had with my lift height. I chose it over the currie steering because I've driven jeeps with the currie and in my opinion its a great upgrade for a vehicle with 4 inches of lift but after that it still has the same geometry problems as the stock does. the IRO is a true crossover setup and it feels great! No dead spot tight accurate steering
I bought a set of 31s on aluminum rims to replace my 32s on steel rims and let me tell you aluminum rims are absolutely worth it for road tires its a night and day difference i still run steel rims for my trail tires for more damage resistance and cost. I will never run steel rims on road tires again!
I got my jeep broken into twice in a months time good thing i keep everything in a lock box bolted to the
floor. Its more of a annoyance than anything but makes me worry about the world and what its coming to that someone would try and steal my work tools or anything else that I've worked so hard to buy because they feel in titled to it. lock your stuff down guys the world is full of scum who think they are more worthy of the stuff you bought
I got some fox performance shocks to replace my to small IRO hydros cant wait to test out the ride when i finally get them because the new ups driver cant find my house and keeps saying the address is wrong and they wont let me pick them up
just some random winter/spring pics!

Re: noah's 97 zj build
more big things today im driving on chromos and i only bought them because my current axles broke hard last week and im looking for a high pinion 30 to go through the process of re gearing and tube sleeves anyone want to help re gear ? haha anyways my next set of street tires are most likely going to be 35s because i want to be able to re gear deep enough for the q78s and still have okay mileage. anyone have any advise as to weather i should do 456 or 488 I Don't want to do this twice but I'm never going bigger than 35s until i go one tons. also i got a puma 12v compressor so ill be able to air up without a gas station

Re: noah's 97 zj build
Well after a long hiatus nikki the beast is coming back. Last time I was wheeling I went a little harder than normal which if you know me knows that's saying something. The parts count was high front axle rear axle transfer case and transmission all leaking winch cable snapped broken front driveshaft (again) it was a bad day to say the least. Shes been parked since then as i was planning on just going one ton over this summer. fast forward to last week I decide that I don't want to miss out on any more club runs so the parts came rolling in front and rear axle rebuild kits seals for the transfer case all new u joints a trans rebuild kit two new batteries and synthetic winch line. So far I've got the axles and transfer case done i'm doing the transmission tomorrow and she will be drive able again. Then just need a new front driveshaft and do some other small projects and il be back tougher than ever which will hold me over until i finish my quest for tons

Well i got the transmission rebuilt today funny how things wear out when you add 30% more power and oversized tires.... Anyway I"m on track to make the club run the end of the month just need that driveshaft and get a couple runs tests in.
