TJ Steering Box Skid Plate
Howdy folks,
My neighbor sold her TJ about a year and a half ago, and is selling her house now. Apparently, this little gem was never installed, and she put it out on the curb when she cleaned out her basement. There's no hardware for it, but if you wan't it, it's yours. I snagged it in the knick of time.
There is no identifying brand, but it's a solid 1-piece 3/16"s piece of steel, with just a little scratch in the powder coating.

That's convenient. I live in Pawtucketville, between Mammoth and University, about 3 blocks north of the river.
Re: TJ Steering Box Skid Plate
Ya. You gave Rob your address, he just showed me. I live right off 113 near dracut line. Otherside of 38/Bridge street, near dracut Post office. Its like a 5 min drive without traffic

I tried, but he didn't care. I'll fax Pat and Matt to see if they have an opinion.

It was a joke. Ryan made a funny. I stop reading this site at about 5pm, so text me, and we'll work out details for the pickup.
Re: TJ Steering Box Skid Plate
Do you need me to help pass it along? I can grab it on my way up to NH this weekend and drop it in a post box to ship it to you, does that help?

It might help. I think Nick was going to Lowell before he goes to New Hampshire as well. Maybe you guys can get it together?
(Also, I'm mad at you... honked and waved last night going through Saugus right by Route 1 at that street that goes to 128 and you didnt wave back. I was in the Audi, but still...)
Re: TJ Steering Box Skid Plate
Fuck it, I'm just going to leave it in the median on 128 by 2A. I'll probably be stopped there for a good 3 or 4 minutes on the way home.
Re: TJ Steering Box Skid Plate
I totally missed that, sorry! To be fair, I can't hear a GD thing when the doors and roof are off...

I think that's a good idea. Or just throw it in a 5 gallon painter's bucket for whatever local "collection" the guy on the corner is doing. That'd be interesting.
Re: TJ Steering Box Skid Plate
I just got home.
I was out on 128 around 2A for 3 hours tonight trying to collect that skidplate in the center lane you left.
I dodged many vehicles, played red light, green light games. Helped some citizens test their brakes, and found some of them good uses for insurance.
In the end, I gave up trying to get the Skid plate.
However, I did manage to collect a few other objects that were randomly left on the highway. If anyones interested, let me know.
A Toyota Tundra drivers side mirror with 1 dent. A Hyundai Elantra front grill drivers side. A blue Dodge Caravan front bumper, custom with sideways stripes in orange. An orange Camaro rear bumper. 26 hub caps of various sizes and styles.
