Anyone good with iPhone hacking/jailbreaking/unlocking?

I'm a network engineer. I may be able to help, though I'll feel dirty after working on an apple product.

I need assistance with downgrading an iPhone 4 (GSM) from 5.1.1 to 5.0.1 software releases. I've tried for the past 5 hours to accomplish this, but can't seem to. I bought the phone from my girlfriend's friend who updated the software before the sale leaving me with 5.1.1 and the 4.12 baseband which is not compatible with the GeveyPro sim card that I am using to unlock it for T-Mobile.

Since the iPhone wasn't mine from the get-go, I do not have the SHSH files in order to downgrade it easily.

You might be shit out of luck. If Cydia's server have saved the shsh files you may be able to get them there. You might also want to check with the folks at the t-mobile store for options.
