Project YJ!
Hi All! I found this site through CrawlingForward's link on JF and couldn't believe my eyes. A North Shore Jeep Club!? I'm in! where do I sign and what are the dues?!
I live in Lowell and commute to NBPT every day in a vw jetta...
I'm on Patriot Jeepers Email list also, but as my Jeep's not quite ready for much, I have yet to run with them either.
Currently rebuilding my '92 YJ... it's getting pretty rusty. Just hit 200k. it's still close to bone stock with some mild mods and alot of fixes... I'll use it as a tub+vin donor for the project!
Current stats:
4.0L HO
AX15
NP231
Open D30/35 3.07s and 29" XJ DD AT wheels
Mild mods/fixes:
2.5" custom home made exhaust with TJ front pipe hi flow cat and Flowmaster 44
Bell housing out of a manual XJ to put the clutch slave cylinder outside the bellhousing
(internal hydraulic throwout bearing = the suck...)
SYE on NP231 + Tom Woods Drive shaft
front tow hooks+ tuffy glove box
Underhood toolbox
Moab Corbeau seats
1" Body lift
CJ tail gate w/F250 Tailgate wires...
Project: Grand YJ
Matched set of Axles from a Grand Wagoneer, currently building the front.
Frame/scratch build, M.O.R.E. Shackle Reversal and frame stretched by yours truly by 2"
have 3.5" Black diamond lift kit waiting to go in
goal is 35" tires
and a mystery amc 360 V8 out of a Grand Wagoneer that I have yet to tear into; I'm hoping it's good!

Re: Project YJ!
Glad to have you here! What's your real name?
It's so great to continually hear people being excited about this club. We started it due to the lack of an Eastern MA club for our area, and so far I'd venture to say it has served a bunch of us VERY well! If you're not up for wheeling yet, be sure to come along to a low-key get together we'll be having in the next month or so. Also be sure to let any of us know when you need a hand wrenching!
Lowell's not far at all, and you're that much closer to our NH wheeling spots!

Hi Ryan, my real name is Eric. I'll definitely be at any and all low-key meetings! I'm up for wheeling, but as stated, my rig's got a long way to go until it's ready for much. I've got some questions for ya'll but I'll post them in the the designated forum sections. Thank you for the warm welcome! Can't wait to meet you guys.

Howdy Eric! Glad to hear the link got you here! I take a lot of crap about my leaf spring "flex", so it'll be nice to have someone else to make fun of what a PITA control arms are and that whole deathwobble thing, ha ha.
I'd love to see some more pictures of where it stands currently and the progress with the waggy axles!
Re: Project YJ!
Any updates on the project?
I just finished my axle swap and I'd love to see how the Waggy axles were coming along?

Re: Project YJ!
Hello from a fellow new comer.
I love YJs, and still miss mine.
There's a seat for you on the runs if the Jeeps aren't up to it in time for the next run.
