Re: Janesy's 03' Rubicon Build
I'm so jealous. Had it fit my frame years I would have hopped on that offer.
Re: Janesy's 03' Rubicon Build
Glad to see it will finally get some use!

Re: Janesy's 03' Rubicon Build
Ok, so first: CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
(I'll let you officially tell the news, but man...friggin'....landslide!)
Secondly: Ummmm, I'm confused at what the awesome frame-related thing you posted about that everyone is excited about. What is it?
EDIT: Checked the TJ part-out thread. Savvy UnderArmor, I'm assuming!?

Re: Janesy's 03' Rubicon Build
Thanks man!
What Geoff is referring to, is that I won TJ of the Month, over on JF. Just submitted for the hell of it, didn't even think I'd be in the top three anytime soon, but definitely a landslide for me!
I won a gift card to Metal Cloak, so I'll be using it to pick up some rear upper control arms that I'll need when I do the tummy tuck.
And yea, Savvy Under armor. Can't wait to ditch this shovel!
While I'm updating this, I also placed an order with Savvy for the Novak shifter. Figured I might as well do it while I do the tummy tuck.
Also picking up a CV driveshaft and Savvy GTS from Lu, AngryTJ this weekend!
Hopefully I can get some good weather and free time to install it all!

Made a trip to CT yesterday and met up with Lu (AngryTJ), and took his Savvy GTS and CV driveshaft off of his hands.

Re: Janesy's 03' Rubicon Build
Sold my Rubi flares and randomly decided to sell my JKS discos, so I purchased one of these with that $$ to try out.
And today my Novak shifter and auto trans mount for the Savvy Under Armor came in!
And just placed an order with Metal Cloak for some rear adjustable control arms, since I just got a gift card from them for winning TJOTM! Last item I needed for the UA install.
Edit: Wife just handed me this, b/c she had a bunch of $$ on Amazon to use up.
Good day for Jeep parts to say the least!

Yea, I didn't expect to be able to do this so quick, but with selling some parts and a good bonus from work made it all happen.
Now just to find the time and pray for some good weather to install it all.

Geoff got it... Couldn't pass up $100 off. I was going to go Savvy, but since I hadn't ordered yet, I just decided to take the cheaper route. I do wish they were double adjustable tho.

Re: Janesy's 03' Rubicon Build
Decided to start off the weekend by installing the JK turn signals. Used a 3 1/8" hole saw since I read it in a thread, but it was really tight getting these in, should have used a 3 1/4".
Tomorrow I'll be putting on the Savvy GTS and possibly the rear diff cover.

No disrespect meant but your Jeep looks strange to me. Almost dune buggy-ish. I am just not used to seeing a Jeep so modded out I guess. It's different and that is a good thing! Not sure what my post was meant to be about, just wanted to get a little insight into such a radical mod.

Nick I'm so glad you got rid of those god awful stock turn signals from the TJ. I cringed looking at them for all those months.

Re: Janesy's 03' Rubicon Build
I know Ryan, they were bad, but got the job done in the meantime. Glad to get rid of them!
Yea, I really on use it for wheeling, so its built to suit. I do like to drive it on the weekends cruising around or to the beach...

Yep, that was me alright, so thanks! Saw your rig parked a few up from me, looks good too!
I got em second hand. New in box, but not direct from Rokmen so I saved whatever shipping cost is, plus a little more. I paid $500, but then had to weld them up myself. I know a few people with TNT's that are happy with them, so if you're not looking to do any welding, those are a great option.

Re: Janesy's 03' Rubicon Build
Did a little wheelin' Saturday. Mabell is pretty fun in the snow, much different than any other time I've been. Funny watching the guys I wheeled with have problems moving in the snow with their 40" red stickies, while I just crawled past! And ran into a huge group of built JK's, pretty fun day.
Sunday installed the Savvy GTS. Gained a good inch.
And today my AntiRock came in! Will be installed this week.
